CFIRE is a registered non-profit founded in May of 2007. We are a group of graduates of the Westminster Fire Department Citizens Academy working in unison with the City of Westminster Fire Department to raise funds for community education projects, Firefighter Cancer Prevention and Awareness and Westminster Fire Department endeavors that would otherwise go unfunded. We have several fundraising events each year: monthly "Brews for a Cause" with Frolic Brewing Company on the first Wednesday of each month, Firefighter Calendars in Fall and Snooze  "Get a Knock on Cancer" Dinner in August.

As a result of our fundraising efforts we have been able to help fund:

• WPSRF (Westminster Public Safety Recognition Foundation) Banquet

• Fire Station Open Houses

• iClickers used for continuing education

• Extra hoods for all Fire Fighters for increased cancer prevention

• Santa Program

• Fire Ground Monitoring for Post-Fire Incidents training

• Fire Fighters Ski Team to benefit Children’s Hospital Colorado Burn Fund Camp

• Night Ice Dive training

• Citizen’s Advocate of the Year Award

• Don’t Text and Drive Poster

• Firefighter Cancer Symposium attendance

• Respirators for each firefighter to be used when at fire scenes but not actively involved in fighting the fire or during the investigation of past fires
